Aloha Doctor, Thank you for visiting my web site!

My physical therapy practice focuses on manual therapies and dynamic stabilization for all types of chronic pain, motor vehicle or work-injured patients. I work one-on-one with each patient for a full hour—your patient is my sole focus in every session. My goals are to help patients regain as much mobility as possible and teach them how to maintain and enhance their health. I accept most insurance plans.

Offering:
myofascial release
lumbar stabilization
craniosacral therapy
therapeutic exercise
therapeutic shiatsu
joint mobilizations
work conditioning
electrical modalities
body mechanics
therapeutic massage
home exercise program
strengthening

Recently I’ve had success helping injured surfers release the pain and discomfort of residual myofascial twists and compressions from being tossed in the waves or struck by a surfboard.   I have also seen substantial improvement with patients whose scoliosis has progressed to generate lumbar, thoracic, cervical pains or headaches.  I have been successful treating tension headaches, whiplash, cervical strain, thoracic pains, and lumbar strains. Of course, I find it most effective to treat patients with auto, work, or other injuries as soon as possible after their injury, before their pain becomes chronic.

I am happy to assist with the rehabilitation of your chronic pain or fibromyalgia patients, especially those who haven’t responded well to other therapeutic interventions. I especially enjoy the challenge of treating patients with mysterious myofascial complaints – when all their tests come back normal but their pains persist. As their movement restrictions are released, many of these patients find they are able to gradually increase daily activities and home exercise without experiencing the extra pain that usually stops them.

How Manual Therapy Helps to Releases Pain
Releases myofascial restrictions
Mechanical stretching of tight muscles, tendons, and connective tissue
Restores normal joint movement and accessory glides
Stimulates micro-circulation and localized lymph pumping
Removes compression on nerves
Resets accommodated length and tension nerves in muscles and tendons
Normalizes chi flow through the meridians
Additional sensory input helps the mind be more aware of the body
Enhances the mind-body connection and stimulates the body’s natural healing responses
